Rebecca Von Tersch, Editor-in-ChiefBeck Von Tersch is a senior at Carlmont High School and is a member of their journalism program, both as an editor for Highlander news magazine and a writer for the news website, Scot Scoop. In addition to journalism, she is president of Carlmont's Korean Culture Club, and is passionate about the Asian American community, having written several articles relating to this topic. She is currently serving her second term on Belmont's Youth Advisory Committee (YAC). As a former events editor for Belmont News, she is excited to take on the role of Editor in Chief in its second year.

Chels Chang, FounderChels Chang, a nationally recognized student journalist, is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Belmont News. She was first introduced to journalism through Carlmont's journalism program where she now serves as a Managing Editor for Highlander, Carlmont's newsmagazine. Deeply passionate about LGBTQ+ rights, she has also produced award-winning podcasts on this topic. Some of her written work has also received prestigious awards such as 1st place in NSPA's 2021 Climate Change News Story category. Outside of journalism, you can find her engaging with her community and advocating for youth voices as the Vice President of the City of Belmont's Youth Advisory Committee.

Andrew Tolu, Managing EditorAndrew Tolu is on the editorial board for Belmont News as the News Managing Editor. He is a senior at Carlmont High School and also a managing editor for Scot Scoop, Carlmont's newspaper. He enjoys playing flute and soccer in his free time and has a love of history, geography, and politics.

Grace Wu, Managing EditorGrace Wu is a senior at Carlmont High School and the Events Managing Editor for Belmont News. After discovering a passion for journalism in her sophomore year, she has developed strong skills in design and reporting as a managing editor for Highlander, Carlmont's student newsmagazine, and a staff writer for Scot Scoop. Outside of school, she is also a student journalist and intern at the San Mateo Daily Journal. When she is not writing or editing, you can find her crafting a case as a trial attorney for Carlmont's Varsity Mock Trial team, volunteering at a nonprofit to raise awareness for childhood cancer, or spending time with friends and family.

Malina Wong, Managing EditorWith a fascination and love for telling a story through visuals, Malina Wong is a Managing Editor for Belmont News's cartoons. She is a student journalist for Carlmont High School's online news publication, Scot Scoop, and an editor for its school magazine, the Highlander. Malina participates in Carlmont Technical Theatre Association (CTTA), taking a role behind the scenes in school events such as switch operators or camera operators. She is passionate about environmentalism and enjoys photography!
